Prime Minister: Government and Parliament deepen coordination to advance priority reforms

Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi held a working meeting with Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk. The parties outlined concrete steps to enhance coordination between the Government and Parliament.

The participants agreed to hold regular meetings between members of the Government and leaders of parliamentary factions and groups, as well as to deepen coordination between committees and ministries.

Special attention was given to restoring the work of the Coalition Council to improve the quality of Government bills and ensure effective interaction between the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the Prime Minister, the Government will conduct a detailed analysis of international commitments to synchronize their implementation with Parliament.

“Going forward, we also agreed to coordinate our positions in dialogue with international partners. In addition, we will review the transitional provisions of every law that assigns responsibilities to the Cabinet of Ministers,” noted Sergii Koretskyi.

During the meeting, they also discussed preparing the Government Action Program and identified key priorities for legislative work. These include support for the Defense Forces, advancing Ukraine’s integration into the European Union, and delivering on social agenda.
