Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of State of the UAE agreed to intensify economic cooperation and hold a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission

On the sidelines of the UN Conference, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates H.E. Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy.

The parties considered the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and agreed to hold a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission as soon as possible to accelerate economic cooperation.

"The UAE is interested in concession projects in port infrastructure and in the agricultural sector. I have proposed joint implementation of initiatives in the field of irrigation, which will significantly increase the productivity of agricultural land in Ukraine," the Head of the Ukrainian Government said.

In addition, the parties agreed to deepen and develop the partnership in space and IT.

Denys Shmyhal thanked the United Arab Emirates for its active role in the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war: "This is a true manifestation of humanity and solidarity."
