    On 6 September, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Kyiv.

    The parties discussed strengthening economic cooperation, enhancing partnership with American businesses and progress in implementing reforms.

    "The United States is one of the leaders in direct budgetary assistance to Ukraine. I am particularly grateful for the PEACE in Ukraine programme, which helps to finance the salaries of teachers and doctors," said Denys Shmyhal.

    The Prime Minister of Ukraine and the U.S. Secretary of State also focused on the issue of protecting energy infrastructure. According to Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine is preparing to the fullest extent possible for winter and possible russia's missile attacks on generation and distribution facilities.

    The Head of the Ukrainian Government stressed that our country highly appreciates the support and military assistance of the United States, and thanked Antony Blinken for his personal efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation.
