Prime Minister of Ukraine raised acute cooperation issues with the leaders of the Bundestag factions

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, during a working trip to Berlin on September 4, held meetings with the leaders of the largest factions of the German Bundestag.

"Ukraine has strong support in the German Bundestag. Today I’ve had the opportunity to get convinced. I am grateful to each and every member of the German Parliament who helps Ukraine with resolute actions in this war," stressed Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine discussed European integration, the pursuit of reforms and the situation at the Zaporizhia NPP with the co-chair of the Alliance 90/The Greens Party Ricarda Lang and the leader of the Alliance 90/The Greens Party faction in the Bundestag Britta Haßelmann.

With the leader of the Christian Democratic Union party and the CDU/CSU faction in the Bundestag, Friedrich Merz, the Head of the Ukrainian Government discussed defense support and Ukraine's need for armaments in detail. The parties touched on the issue of the economic situation and support programs for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as how Germany can contribute to their financing.

At a meeting with the leader of the faction of the Free Democratic Party in the Bundestag, Christian Dürr, the Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized the importance of punitive sanctions against russia, in particular, the suspension of issuing European visas to citizens of the terrorist state. Separately, the parties discussed issues of defense and financial support.
