Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held a working meeting with the Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine regarding the current situation on global oil and petroleum product markets.

During the discussion, a decline in prices on major international exchanges was noted, which has a direct impact on fuel prices in Ukraine.

In particular, the state-owned Ukrnafta gas station network has already responded to the changes and begun lowering prices. If current trends in global markets continue, a more significant price reduction is expected.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need for a corresponding response from other market participants.

“The market must respond fairly to changes in the price environment,” Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized.

Separately, the parties noted the stable situation regarding fuel supply. In March, supply volumes reached a five-year high, and this trend is expected to continue in April.
