Banks are granting loans to businesses under the Government’s energy programmes. Applications for UAH 7.9 billion have been approved, and over UAH 2 billion in loans have actually been disbursed. Over UAH 204 million in loans have been approved for households. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“The heating season is already starting in Ukraine. Social infrastructure facilities are being connected to the heating system. First of all, hospitals, schools and kindergartens. The exact dates of heat supply will depend on weather conditions, and local authorities will make their decisions accordingly,” the Head of Government said.

According to the Prime Minister, all 9 units of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants are in operation, covering the main generation needs. Ukraine is also receiving new generation equipment from partners.

“We are doing everything to ensure that all Ukrainians have light and heat at home in winter, and that businesses operate smoothly,” Denys Shmyhal said.

The Head of Government thanked power engineers, heating engineers and all critical infrastructure workers for their contribution to Ukraine’s resilience.
