Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi discusses public finances with leading media

Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi met with journalists from leading media outlets for a detailed discussion on the state of public finances.

One of the main topics of the meeting was the shortfall in funding for defense needs. The Prime Minister explained the reasons behind the shortfall, possible steps to address it, and the related risks and challenges.

The parties also discussed ensuring all social spending is covered for the current and coming years.

"To achieve this, it is essential to adopt, as quickly as possible, all the necessary draft laws and government decisions that Ukraine's international financial assistance depends on," the Head of Government said.

The Prime Minister thanked the journalists for an open, candid, and constructive conversation, and for their understanding of the complexity of the situation.

"The Government is fully committed to open communication with the media. We hope such meetings will become regular," Sergii Koretskyi stressed.
