  • Prime Minister met with Governor of the Council of Europe Development Bank

    The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and the Governor of the Council of Europe Development Bank Carlo Monticelli discussed joint bilateral projects during a meeting in Kyiv. 

    The Head of the Ukrainian Government thanked the CEB for signing the first agreements on HOME and Heal Ukraine projects worth EUR 200 million during the Recovery Conference in Berlin.

    "These funds will be used to provide housing for people who have been left homeless as a result of russian aggression, as well as to restore the healthcare system," the Prime Minister said.

    According to him, there are already first results. Thus, in September, more than 2,200 families received funds under certificates for the restoration of housing through the HOME project. 

    In addition, the Prime Minister noted that the Government of Ukraine also prioritises demining, restoration of energy and critical infrastructure.

    "We are striving to expand cooperation with the Development Bank for communities and support for small and medium-sized businesses," added Denys Shmyhal.

    The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked the CEB for its intention to open an office in Kyiv. According to him, this demonstrates the willingness to develop long-term cooperation and implement new projects in Ukraine.
