On 31 August, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held a conversation with Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis. The parties discussed, among other things, the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.
“We are closely coordinating this issue with the European Commission within the framework of the joint coordination platform. Ukraine’s position is that unilateral restrictions by EU countries in the context of a full-scale war and russia’s attempts to block the Black Sea grain corridor are unacceptable,” said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister also noted that solutions were being worked out to develop alternative logistics routes.
The parties paid special attention to the financial sphere. Denys Shmyhal thanked for the macro-financial support and the EU’s Ukraine Facility initiative in the amount of EUR 50 billion, which is expected to last for 4 years.
The Prime Minister thanked the European Commission and Valdis Dombrovskis personally for their comprehensive support to Ukraine.
