Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal chaired a meeting on the creation of a national mechanism for exchange trading in capital markets and organised commodity markets.

The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko and Chairman of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission Ruslan Magomedov.

Denys Shmyhal stressed that the creation of a fully functional capital market in Ukraine was an integral part of the introduction of mandatory funded pensions.

“We have already signed a memorandum with the American Chamber of Commerce and USAID. We need to move on to practical steps, such as creating a stock market infrastructure. Involving international partners in this project will help implement the best experiences and practices,” the Prime Minister said.

The Head of Government stressed that the war should not be an obstacle to development and innovation: “We continue to implement reforms for a modern and prosperous Ukraine.”
