Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal chaired a conference call with the heads of Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson regional military administrations on the implementation of projects for the rapid recovery of Ukraine in the regions.
According to the Head of Government, the law on compensation mechanisms has been signed by the President of Ukraine and will come into force in 2 months. During this time, communities should actively fill in the State Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property.
"We need to work more actively in those communities where it is already possible to fill in the register and prepare project documentation in order to quickly and effectively start the restoration, and for people to gain an understanding of compensation for housing," said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister also stressed the need to accelerate the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure (in particular, to start preparing for the next heating season), critical, social and transport infrastructure.
"Humanitarian demining is another of our priorities. Interior Ministry brigades are working in the regions. As a Government, we are working to increase the capacity of humanitarian demining to clear agricultural land to the fullest extent possible before the sowing season and enable farmers to grow crops. A corresponding action plan has been approved in nine regions," said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister also called on the heads of the RMAs, with the support of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, to share experience of cooperation between the regions and international partners in the field of recovery.
The Head of Government heard reports from the heads of regional administrations on the state of construction of fortifications, accommodation of IDPs and the operation of the Invincibility Points.
The participants of the meeting also heard information from the ministries on the state of access to electricity, educational, medical and social services in Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
