Our energy system has withstood ten major attacks and dozens of smaller ones. And despite that, it remains controllable. This was emphasized by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Government meeting on December 30.

“In spring, we faced a fuel crisis, but thanks to our synergy with business, we also overcame this extraordinary challenge. Fuel imports have increased 10 times compared to March, and now we bring it from all over the world. Now the whole country is facing consequences of the energy crisis caused by russian terror against our energy infrastructure. And we will overcome this challenge as well,” noted Denys Shmyhal.

Prime Minister emphasized that Ukraine expected at least USD 1.5 billion in support for the energy sector from partners. According to him, hundreds of cargoes of equipment from all over the world either have arrived or are on their way to Ukraine right now.

Moreover, the Head of Government announced that at the beginning of the heating season, more than 14.5 billion cubic meters of gas had been accumulated in Ukrainian gas storage facilities, while 1.5 million tonnes of coal had been in stock.
