On 25 July, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and the Government team are on a working visit to Kherson region.
The officials inspected the construction of fortifications in the region.
"At the request of the Armed Forces Command, we are constantly building and improving fortifications. The head of the Regional Military Administration reported on the work in this direction," Denys Shmyhal said and added that the state of construction work in Kherson region was currently 97% complete.
The Prime Minister stressed that the construction of fortifications was a priority objective for every head of the frontline regions, and the Government had allocated over UAH 2 billion to Kherson region this year for its implementation.
During the working visit, Denys Shmyhal also paid tribute to the soldiers who died in the "Lilac Park" in Kherson.
"Kherson is a hero city that did not surrender to the russian occupiers. At the beginning of the invasion, its defenders bravely fought against the outnumbered enemy forces. We will remember this feat. Eternal glory to the heroes," the Head of Government emphasized.
