    Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman plans to continue the checks of road construction activities following the principle of how he traveled along the route M-12 "Stryi - Ternopil - Kropyvnytskyi - Znamianka", part of which within the boundaries of Ternopil and Vinnytsia regions enters the Go Highway transport corridor.

    "We have triggered the road network rehabilitation period. This year the volume of work will be increased. I am pleased with the approaches I have seen", the Head of Government said. "I will drive around Ukraine to see how the programs of our Government are implemented."

    The Head of Government reminded that among such programs, apart from the actual repair and construction of roads, also the implementation of a range of measures to improve road safety.

    Background

    Today, May 31, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman is checking road works on M-12 highway Stryi – Ternopil – Kropyvnytskyi – Znamianka, a section of which within the Ternopil and Vinnytsia regions is a part of the Go Highway transport corridor that connects the ports of the Black Sea and the Baltic states. The length of route is around 240 km and it encapsulates the highways M-09 Ternopil - Lviv - Rava Ruska; M-12 Stryi - Ternopil - Kropyvnytskyi - Znamianka (Ternopil - Uman); M-05 Kyiv - Odesa (Bila Tserkva - Uman - Odesa); M-14 Odesa - Melitopol - Novoazovsk (Odesa - Mykolaiv – Kherson).

    This year, a sum worth UAH 4 billion was allocated for the construction activities under the said project. The work has been kicked off on 12 objects of the route, including 4 sections of the M-12 highway.
