Sowing season 2025: over 4 million hectares of winter crops sown

As of 14 October 2025, Ukrainian farmers have sown 4,083,200 hectares of winter crops. This is 62% of the forecasted areas.
Winter cereals are being sown in all regions of Ukraine.
In particular, sown:
- winter wheat – 2,821,200 hectares;
- winter barley – 222,000 hectares;
- winter rye – 54,800 hectares.
Among the leaders in sowing grain crops are Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.
Winter rapeseed has been sown across 985,300 hectares. The largest areas are in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Mykolaiv regions. Agrarians in 13 regions have currently completed the sowing of winter rapeseed.
