The Government has approved the report on the implementation of the State Budget for 2021 and 2022, announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"Despite unprecedented challenges, we have managed to fully finance all key budget expenditures. In 2022, we increased spending on the defence of our country nine times compared to 2021. Security spending increased by 2.5 times. We increased spending on social protection by 25%. Healthcare - by 8%," the Head of Government said.
The Prime Minister added that thanks to the ePidtrymka programme, 4.8 million Ukrainians received UAH 6,500 as a one-time payment. While Ukrainian businesses have received more than UAH 100 billion in soft loans since the invasion.
"We have succeeded in preventing the hryvnia from devaluing and inflation from galloping. Our economy has stayed afloat. Now it is crucial that we see its recovery this year," said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Government would do everything in its power to achieve this: "We are launching the recovery. We are launching changes and reforms. We are moving fast towards EU membership."
