More than a thousand jobs: New industrial park to appear in Mykolaiv region
A new industrial park, Techno Park Voznesensk, has been created in the Mykolaiv region. The decision to include the park in the Register of Industrial Parks was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on 25 October.
“The creation of more than a thousand jobs in various manufacturing industries, as well as in the science, technology and IT sectors, will contribute to the growth of the region’s economy. The park will be an important factor in the development of the industry in southern Ukraine. Such initiatives help businesses attract investment and develop Ukrainian production as part of the Made in Ukraine policy,” said Vitaliy Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy.
The park will occupy an area of 19.0539 hectares in Voznesensk and Buzke village (Voznesensk district, Mykolaiv region). The park will create about 1,050 new jobs in various processing industries, such as leather, building materials, mechanical engineering, as well as in the field of science and technology and information technology.
The initiating company, KULAT LLC, plans to spend about UAH 56 million of its own funds to build the necessary infrastructure. In addition, it is planned that the residents of the industrial park will attract investments worth up to UAH 800 million to build their facilities, and the management company will invest up to UAH 20 million over three years. Thanks to tax benefits, the processing industry participants will additionally contribute around UAH 9.7 million to the park’s development by 2027.
The Register of Industrial Parks already includes 97 industrial parks, and Techno Park Voznesensk will become an important part of this development process.
Background
As a reminder, the state budget for 2024 allocates UAH 1 billion for the implementation of the industrial parks development programme. The funds are provided on a non-refundable basis (50% of the estimated cost) to initiators and management companies of industrial parks for the development or construction of engineering and transport infrastructure, as well as reimbursement of 50% of the cost of connection to the electricity grid. Industrial parks from the de-occupied territories will be able to implement projects on an 80-20 co-financing basis.
