Companies that are members of the Polish Power Transmission and Distribution Association (PTPiREE) have provided Ukraine with supporting materials and equipment to repair energy infrastructure damaged as a result of hostilites.

“The war in Ukraine, provoked by the aggression of the russian federation, causes huge material losses to the energy infrastructure. Due to the devastation caused by the war, we can see the need to support the power system with materials and equipment that will allow restoring electricity supply in the most strategic areas," reads a letter from the President of the Polish Power Transmission and Distribution Association Robert Zasina addressed to the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko.

So, last week the members of the Association launched a campaign to help Ukraine.

Among the equipment provided - the most necessary, in particular, cables for low and medium voltage with auxiliary materials, medium/low voltage transformers, power generators and more.

"The enemy is deliberately destroying our energy infrastructure. But Ukraine will rebuild everything. We are grateful to our Polish colleagues for the support they provide to Ukrainian energy companies and our country as a whole," said the Minister of Energy of Ukraine.

"I would like to express my personal gratitude to Ms. Anna Moskwa, Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, for her steadfast support of Ukraine both on the political front and in real actions to strengthen our energy security," German Galushchenko said.

It is expected that the next batch of assistance to the energy sector will be sent in the near future. Cargo transportation for Ukraine is coordinated and organized by the Polish Government Agency for Strategic Reserves.
