  • Serhii Kruk discusses delivery of further humanitarian aid with representatives of Finland

    While participating in the 50th Meeting of Directors-General within the framework of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism held in Stockholm, the Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Serhii Kruk discussed the issue of the delivery of further humanitarian aid from Finland.

    Serhii Kruk thanked Kimmo Kohvakka, Director General of the Rescue Services, for his support in the war against russia.

    “We are grateful to the head of the Finnish Rescue Services for the assistance provided. We have agreed on new deliveries of humanitarian aid. Fire engines, other equipment, and more than 2,000 fire extinguishers are expected to arrive from the Finnish Government in the near future,” said Serhii Kruk.

    He also added that Finland was a world leader in terms of the availability and functioning of shelters for the population.

    “We are ready to share our experience gained during the war in the field of civil protection system, as well as the specifics of shelter arrangement. We are waiting for a delegation of Finnish rescue workers in Ukraine,” said the Head of the Service.

    Earlier, the Government of Finland donated the following equipment to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine: 10 armoured modules for the accommodation of SES personnel, 2 ambulances, 2 buses, and 2 generators.
