On 24 December, representatives of the Plast National Scout Organisation of Ukraine handed over the Peace Light of Bethlehem to Government officials. The solemn ceremony took place at the beginning of a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“With the Light of Bethlehem in our hearts, we will overcome any challenges together. May it inspire all of us to do good deeds and strengthen our faith in our Victory,” the Prime Minister said, thanking the Plast members for bringing this light to the Government House.

Denys Shmyhal noted that the light would be handed over to Ukrainian defenders to let them feel the support and warmth of their home.

In turn, the children sang a song traditionally accompanying the Peace Light and wished the members of the Cabinet of Ministers well.
