Nord Stream 2 pipeline project is not a commercial project, but instead one of the varieties of hybrid weapons targeting European consumers. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said in his communication with foreign media outlets.

"The purpose of Nord Stream 2 construction is to destroy an independent gas transit system (of Ukraine), to build a new system spending billions of dollars with lower capacity (as compared to the Ukrainian gas transit system), and make all European consumers dependent. There is no other target. This is not a business project. This is an attempt to put Europeans in a position of dependence", said Volodymyr Groysman.

He stressed that the Ukrainian GTS operates reliably.

"It (GTS) is far from political bias towards the Russian Federation and friendly to European consumers," said Volodymyr Groysman.

He added that joint management of the GTS would be the key to the independence and reliability of the transit of the resource to Europe.
