  • Military expenditures are one of priority lines in the state budget for 2019, claims Prime Minister

    Funding of the army and the defense sector are one of the priority lines in the draft state budget for 2019 developed by the Government and submitted to the Parliament as required by the current legislation. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

    "We have been working to increase the security and defense budget. A sum worth UAH 209.5 billion was laid in the state budget", the Prime Minister said. "This envisages raising (minimum) salary for the military personnel up to UAH 10 thousand, and for the officers of the National Guard and the National Police up to UAH 9 thousand. This is the minimum wage. The question of financing the army, military, armament is a overriding priority".

    The Head of Government stressed that the budget sphere, social commitments are the focus areas as well. However, the key point is a clear budgeting expenditure.

    "By having a balanced budget, we will have the budget for developing the country", Volodymyr Groysman undercored.
