On 26 November, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Ukraine, Lars Hansen.

“We discussed what strengthens our ability every day to keep the country safe: joint training programmes, assistance for rescuers, police, border guards and National Guard personnel, as well as new areas of technical support,” said Ihor Klymenko.

The Ambassador acknowledged the sheer scale of the work currently being carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and spoke highly of the effectiveness of cooperation with our units. The Minister also noted that Norway’s support is ongoing and that joint projects and opportunities for exchanging experience will be expanded.

“For us, cooperation with partners who understand our challenges and stand with Ukraine in the most difficult times is of great importance.

Norway is precisely such a partner: consistent, reliable and sharing our values. Together we are strengthening the safety of our people and the resilience of our state,” the Minister of Internal Affairs concluded.
