Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Slovenia was signed

On February 11, a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Slovenia on cooperation in the field of sports took place in the Club of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The event was held during the 8th meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Slovenian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The document was signed by Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Dobran Božič.

The Memorandum will advance  creation of a regulatory framework for Ukrainian-Slovenian cooperation in the field of sports. This will allow to establish  necessary legal conditions for the development of bilateral Ukrainian-Slovenian relations through the central executive authorities and public organizations of physical culture and sports

According to the agreement, the sides should align their positions on international sporting activities, encourage participation of States representatives in bilateral sporting events, and promote the exchange of experience and development of excellence among public sports organizations.

Such cooperation will be implemented through joint training sessionsof the national sports federations of both countries, promotion of cooperation in the field of training highly skilled trainers and cooperation in combating doping in sports, and promoting sport for persons with disabilities.
