CLGE was established in 1962 under the International Federation of Surveyors. The association unites professional surveyors across Europe and promotes the interests of the surveying industry in both the public and private sectors.

The Executive Board of CLGE has decided that for the period of martial law and reconstruction in Ukraine, the StateGeoCadastre will not have to pay membership fees to CLGE.
