From 22 to 31 October, Ukrainians will receive the first payment under the National Cashback programme. The state will transfer a total of UAH 37.2 million to 646,378 Ukrainians, accumulated for purchases made in September.
One can spend their cashback on utilities, healthcare, transport and other services. Or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or buy military bonds.
"Cashback is a form of financial support from the state. These funds can be spent, in particular, on utilities. This is a particularly relevant issue during the heating season. In addition, these funds can be spent on charity, donated to the Armed Forces, purchased military bonds, or spent on services. It is crucial for us that Ukrainians choose Ukrainian-made goods. We expect that such additional benefits will not only be social support, but will also stimulate the development of Ukrainian producers,’ said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy.
The funds will be credited to those citizens who have purchased Ukrainian goods and the amount of cashback exceeded UAH 2 in September. According to the results of September, there were 646,378 such consumers. The rest either had no accruals or the amount was less than UAH 2.
The condition for cashback payment is to activate the card for payments in Diia. Those who have done so will receive the cashback accrued in September in October. Those who have not activated their card for payments in Diia, and there are more than 300,000 such consumers as of the end of September, must do so. The funds will not disappear, they will be paid out in November.
The cashback received will not be taxed. The relevant law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. The NACP has issued an explanation for civil servants, local government officials and other citizens who are required to submit annual financial disclosure statements.
Cashback is paid monthly, starting on the 20th day of the month following the previous month. In other words, at the end of October, consumers will receive cashback accumulated in September, and at the end of November - for October.
