Day 593 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The russian occupiers keep ignoring the International Humanitarian Law, as they target and shell the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure alike, terrorizing civilians.

The Ukrainian defense forces continue to defend in the east and the south of Ukraine, conduct the offensive on Melitopol axis, and offensive operations on Bakhmut axis. As they destroy the enemy, they liberate the temporarily occupied territories and consolidate new positions.

During the day of October 8, there were 37x combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 6x air strikes, 29x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian targets across Ukraine.

Air strikes hit Hrabovske (Sumy oblast), Kostyantynivka (Donetsk oblast), Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Orikhiv (Zaporizhzhia oblast), and Beryslav (Kherson oblast).

More than 90x settlements in Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts came under artillery fire.

Pivnich operational-strategic group, Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct active subversive activities in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The adversary increases the density of minefields along the state border in Belgorod oblast (russia).

Khortytsia operational-strategic group, Kupyansk axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 3x enemy attacks in the vicinities of settlements of Synkivka and Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defense forces repelled 4x enemy attacks in the vicinity of Makiivka (Luhansk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: Ukrainian troops repelled enemy attacks north of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka.

Tavria operational-strategic group, Avdiivka and Maryinka axes: the enemy launched about 15x unsuccessful attacks in the vicinities of Avdiyivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast).

Shakhtarske axis: the adversary did not conduct any offensive (assault) operations.

Zaporizhzhia axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack in the area north of Novoprokopivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast).

The Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive on Melitopol axis, have partial success in the areas west of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Ukrainian soldiers also conduct offensive (assault) operations on Bakhmut axis, having partial success in the areas of Klishchiivka and Andriivka. The Ukrainian defenders inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, consolidating their positions and exhausting the enemy.

Odesa operational-strategic group, Kherson axis: the Ukrainian defense forces conduct counter-battery fire, destroy the supply depots, and successfully strike behind the enemy lines.

During the day of October 8, Ukrainian Air Force launched 3x air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the invaders.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 3x artillery systems, 2x radar stations, 2x concentrations of troops, and 2x ammunition depots of the adversary.
