The russian federation continues to disregard International Humanitarian Law, as they target and shell the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure alike, terrorizing civilians.

During the day of April 18, the adversary launched 4 missile and 44 air strikes, around 20 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. The attacks caused civilian casualties.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains quite high.

The adversary continues to wage its war of aggression at the cost of heavy losses. The invaders’ main focus is the offensive operations on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka axes. During the day of April 18, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled around 30 attacks of the adversary in these areas of the frontline. The fiercest fighting is for Bakhmut and Maryinka.

Volyn, Polissya, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna axes: no significant changes. Certain units of the armed forces of the republic of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine. Certain units of the territorial troops of the russian Armed Forces continue their deployment on the territory of belarus. 

The adversary continues to maintain military presence in the areas of Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod oblasts (russia) bordering Ukraine.

During the day of April 18, the enemy shelled the settlements of Koreniok, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Okhrimivka, and Nesterne (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupyansk axis: Kamyanka, Ridkodub, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, and Zapadne (Kharkiv oblast) were shelled with artillery.

Lyman axis: the adversary attempted to improve the tactical situation and conducted unsuccessful offensives near the settlement of Dibrova. Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Ivanivka, Torske, and Spirne (Donetsk oblast) were shelled with artillery.

Bakhmut axis: the enemy continues its offensive operations. 

Heavy battles for the city of Bakhmut continue. Vasyukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kostyantynivka, Toretsk, and New York, (Donetsk oblast) suffered from enemy shelling.

Avdiivka axis: the adversary conducted offensive operations in the vicinities of Stepove, Berdychiv, Avdiivka, Sjeverne, and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The targets of the invaders’ shelling included the settlements of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske.

Maryinka axis: during the day of April 18, Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks in the vicinity of settlement of Maryinka. At the same time, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Heorhiivka, Pobjeda, and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast) were shelled by the enemy.

Shakhtarske axis: the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations during During the day of April 18. The invaders shelled the settlements of Shakhtarske, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, and Velyka Novosilka (Donetsk oblast).

Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: the adversary stays on the defensive. The invaders shelled several settlements, including Novopil (Donetsk oblast), Olhivske, Chervone, Hulyaipole, Charivne, Orikhiv, Stepove, Plavni (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Antonivka (Kherson oblast), and the city of Kherson. The attacks killed civilians.

During the day of April 18, Ukrainian Air Force air strikes launched 3 air strikes on the concentrations of troops and 1 anti-aircraft missile system of the adversary.

Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 2 concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1 electronic warfare station depots, and 1 other critical military target of the occupying forces.
