Situation update of General Staff of UAF regarding russian invasion as of 6 p.m., October 13, 2023

The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

During the day of October 13, there were 68x combat engagements. The enemy launched 2x missile and 39x air strikes, 24x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues to shell Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The invaders launched air strikes near Leonivka, Hremyach (Chernihiv oblast), Popivka (Sumy oblast). More than 15 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Bleshnya, Senkivka (Chernihiv oblast), Bachivsk, Vyshenky, Volfyne, Mohrytsya (Sumy oblast), Ternova, Hatyshche, Pletenivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupyansk axis: Ukrainian soldiers repelled 12 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka, Ivanivka and Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast). The enemy also conducted air strikes there. The adversary fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Zapadne, Kupyansk, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka, Novolyubivka, Serebryanske forestry (Luhansk oblast), Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defense forces repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of Makiyivka (Luhansk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at about 15 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Dronivka, Vyimka, Fedorivka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultyne and New York (Donetsk oblast). More than 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka, Kurdyumivka (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiyivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders are bravely holding the line, repelled 10 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Avdiyivka and more than 15 attacks near Keramik, Tonenke, Sjeverne, Pervomaiske and Netailove (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of settlements of Novokalynove and Avdiyivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Avdiyivka, Opytne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).

Maryinka axis: during the day of October 13, Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled about 10 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Maryinka (Donetsk oblast). About 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Antonivka, Yelyzavetivka (Donetsk oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Shakhtarske axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support near the settlement of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Zaporizhzhia axis: adversary made unsuccessful attempts to regain the lost ground in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The occupants launched an air strike near Novoandriyivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 25 settlements, including Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaky, Plavni (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Kherson axis: the occupiers launched air strikes near the settlements of Kozatske, Odradokamyanka, Mykolaivka, Olhivka, Vysoke and Ulyanovka (Kherson oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at Beryslav, Sadove, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka (Kherson oblast) and the city of Kherson.

At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol axis and offensive (assault) operations on Bakhmut axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

During the day of October 13, Ukrainian Air Force launched 12 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the adversary. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 1 russian Su-25 fighter jet and 1 Orlan-10 tactical UAV.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 1 command post, 1 concentration of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot and 1 electronic warfare system of the russian invaders.
