Situation update of General Staff of UAF regarding russian invasion as of 6 p.m., 12 June 2023

Day 474 of the full-scale russian military aggression continues.

The russian federation continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, use terror tactics, carry out strikes, shelling both military and civilian targets.

During the day, the enemy launched 2 missile strikes with Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles on residential buildings in the Kharkiv Oblast.

In addition, in total, it carried out 17 airstrikes and carried out about 22 attacks from rocket salvo systems. The civil infrastructure was destroyed. In particular, residential private buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed as a result of the shelling of Bilopil, Sumy Oblast, and Shevchenkiv, Kharkiv Oblast.

Also, russian terrorists dropped 3 guided aerial bombs on the town of Orihiv, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, one civilian was killed, and private houses were destroyed.

The threat of missile and air strikes remains high across Ukraine.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Lymansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdiyivskyi and Marinsky axis. During the day, 23 combat clashes took place.

Volyn and Polissya axes: the operational situation has not changed significantly.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: russian forces shelled with mortars and artillery such settlements as Tymonovychi, Khotiivka, Chernihiv Oblast; Seredyna-Buda, Sopych, Zarutske, Hirky of the Sumy Oblast, as well as Ivashki, Veterinarne, Visoka Yaruga, Strelecha, Morokhovets, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Budarky in the Kharkiv Oblast.

Kupyansk axis: the enemy forces carried out airstrikes in the areas of Milovi and Kislivka in the Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselivskyi in the Luhansk Oblast. Dvorichna, Masyutivka, Lyman Pershiy Kislivka, Tabaivka, Berestov in the Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselivske in the Luhansk Oblast got under artillery and mortar attacks.

Lyman axis: the occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensives in the Vesely area. They carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Yampil, Spirne and Vesele in the Donetsk Oblast. Nevske, Belogorivka of the Luhansk Oblast and Yampolivka, Torske, Dibrova, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk Oblast were subjected to artillery shelling.

Bakhmut axis: the enemy forces carried out an airstrike in the area of Bila Hora, Donetsk Oblast. Vasyukivka, Blagodatne, Novomarkove, Kalynivka Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Toretsk, Pivdenne, Sukha Balka of the Donetsk Oblast shelled by enemy artillery.

Avdiivka axis: the occupiers carried out offensive actions in the axis of Avdiivka, without success. They carried out airstrikes in the Avdiivka and Severny areas of the Donetsk Oblast. They shelled Keramik, Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Netaylove, Karlivka, Nevelske settlements in the Donetsk Oblast.

Maryinka axis: our defenders repelled all 14x enemy attacks in the vicinities of Maryinka. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the districts of Staromykhailivka and Krasnohorivka. Also, russian forces shelled Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Georgiivka, Maksimilianivka, Pobyeda and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk Oblast.

Shakhtarsk axis: the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the axis of Blagodatny. They carried out airstrikes in the areas of Zolota Niva, Shakhtarske, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka and Blagodatne settlements of the Donetsk Oblast. The occupiers fired at Bogoyavlenka, Ugledar, Prechistivka, Zolotaya Niva, and Velika Novosilka.

Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: russian forces are on the defensive. They carried out an airstrike in the Orikhov area of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. russians shelled populated areas. Among them – Vremivka, Zelene Pole, Novopil of the Donetsk Oblast; Levadne, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Hulyaipilske, Mala Tokmachka, Orihiv, Zherebyanky, Lobkovo, Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Novoberyslav, Vesele, Kozatske, Chornobayivka, Dniprovske, Yantarne, Berehove, Kizomys of the Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

Moreover, the russian occupiers continue to use civilian infrastructure to provide medical care to their wounded servicemen. Thus, in Mystka, Luhansk Oblast, on the territory of a local school, the invaders set up a field hospital, where more than 100x occupiers are being treated.

Due to successful combat operations of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and because of significant losses of the enemy manpower, in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk Oblast, there is an increased number of desertions in the "storm-z" assault units of the russian occupying forces, who are leaving their positions on their own accord more and more.

Also noted was the desertion of about 25x russian occupiers in Mariupol and Novoazovsk due to the unofficial termination of vacations that were promised to the occupiers by the russian military leadership.

In the flooded Hola Prystan of the Kherson Oblast, the russian occupiers allow the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens only after receiving a bribe. Moreover, they destroy passports and birth certificates and other Ukrainian-style documents. Local residents are relocated to the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea and Krasnodar of the russian federation.

Ukrainian Air Force conducted 8x strikes on enemy manpower concentrations.

Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed an enemy Ka-52 helicopter and an Orlan-10 operational-tactical UAV.

Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit 3x control points, 2x anti-aircraft missile systems, the enemy manpower concentrations and 3x enemy artillery units at firing positions.
