Day 683 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.

The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, conducts strikes, and attacks both military and civilian targets. The enemy is actively using tactical aircraft and FPV quadcopters, conducting assault operations with the support of armored vehicles.

During the day of January 7, there were 29x combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 6 missile and 40 air strikes, carried out 21 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential and apartment buildings, and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Klyusy, Buchky, Hremyach (Chernihiv oblast), Volfyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Mefodivka (Sumy oblast), Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, Potykhonove (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupyansk axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka, Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast), where the occupiers made unsuccessful attempts to improve their tactical situation. The occupiers launched an air strike near Berestove (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Tabaivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 3 assaults east of Terny (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 1 attack in the vicinity of Andriyivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders launched an air strike near Druzhba settlement (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka (Donetsk oblast). 

Avdiyivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Avdiyivka, and 11 more attacks in the vicinities of Pervomaiske and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the adversary, with air support, conducted unsuccessful attempts to improve its tactical situation. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Avdiyivka, Sjeverne, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).

Maryinka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinities of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the adversary, with air support, made 3 failed attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka and Heorhiyivka (Donetsk oblast). The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostyantynivka were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Shakhtarske axis: the adversary conducted no offensives. The adversary fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast).

Zaporizhzhia axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 1 assault west of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 15 settlements, including Olhivske, Poltavka, Chervone, Bilohirya, Robotyne, Pyatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Odesa operational-strategic group, Kherson axis: the adversary fired artillery at the city of Kherson (Kherson oblast), as well as Dmytrivka, Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes near the settlements of Respublikanets, Chervonyi Mayak, Zmiyivka, Krynky (Kherson oblast).

The occupiers do not abandon their intention to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. Thus, during the day, the enemy made 2 unsuccessful assaults. The Ukrainian troops are holding the line and keep inflicting significant losses on the enemy.

During the day of January 7, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 4 concentrations of troops of the occupiers. Also, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 1 Kh-59 air-launched guided missile.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 1 command post, 1 ammunition depot, 1 artillery system of the russian invaders.
