Day 528 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.

The russian federation continues to kill civilians in Ukraine, and continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, launches strikes and shells both military and civilian targets.

During the day of August 5, as of 6.00 p.m., the enemy launched 1 missile and 48 air strikes, 8 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

There were 30 combat engagements during the day of August 5.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Odnorobivka, Strilecha, and Hatyshche (Kharkiv oblast).

The invaders fired mortars and artillery at more than 30 settlements, including Hremyach, Vesele (Chernihiv oblast), Volfyne, Pavlivka, Sosnivka (Sumy oblast), Verkhnya Pysarivka, Hatyshche, and Varvarivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupyansk axis: our troops are standing their ground, successfully repelled enemy attacks in the vicinities of Vilshana and Synkivka (Kharkiv oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Kyslivka and Krokhmalne (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupyansk, Petropavlivka and Podoly (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), conducted air strikes near Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Serebryanka, Dibrova, and Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The adversary fired artillery at Kuzmyne, Bilohorivka  (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: defense forces are holding back the enemy in the vicinity of Kurdyumivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Khromove, Klishchiivka, Stupochky, Dyliyivka, Oleksandro-Shul’tyne, and New York. More than 15 settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Minkivka, Novomarkove, Markove, Bohdanivka, and Ivanivske (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiyivka axis: under heavy fire from enemy aircraft and artillery, the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled the attacks of russian troops near Avdiyivka. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinity of Novokalynove (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements came under artillery fire, including Keramik, Avdiyivka, Lastochkyne, Sjeverne, Karlivka (Donetsk oblast).

Maryinka axis: Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back russian troops’ offensive in the vicinity of Maryinka. The enemy fired at more than 10x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Heorhiyivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Kurakhove (Donetsk oblast).

Shakhtarske axis: the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain the lost position in the area of Staromaiorske. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Pavlivka, Zolota Nyva, and Staromaiorske. Artillery shelling reported in Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Staromaiors’ke (Donetsk oblast), and Levadne (Zaporizhzhia oblast).

Zaporizhzhia axis: the enemy launched air strikes, and conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The adversary is focusing its main efforts on preventing further advance of Ukrainian troops. More than 15 settlements came under artillery fire, including Rivne, Novodarivka, Temyrivka, Olhivske, Charivne, and Novoandriyivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast).

Kherson axis: the enemy’s artillery shelled more than 20x settlements, including Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Zmiyivka, Veletenske, Kherson (Kherson oblast), and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct the offensive operation on Melitopol and Berdyansk axes, consolidating their positions, and conducting counter-battery fire.

During the day of August 5, the Ukrainian air force launched 6 air strikes on the concentrations of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment.

The Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 2 command posts, 5 concentrations of troops, weapons, and military equipment, 4 artillery systems at their firing positions, 5 ammunition depots and 1 electronic warfare station of the enemy.
