Situation update of General Staff of UAF regarding russian invasion as of 6 a.m., June 19, 2023

Day 481 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

Last night, the russian federation launched yet another attack on Ukraine using missiles and Iranian Shahed combat UAVs. Information on the aftermath of this terrorist attack is currently being updated. 

During the day of June 18, the adversary launched 59 air strikes, and more than 100 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The attacks have killed and wounded civilians, including children. Also, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged, and more than 20 residential buildings and 1 school were destroyed or damaged.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

The adversary continues to focus its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, and Maryinka axes, with 24 combat engagements taking place during the day of June 18.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. 

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: during the day of June 18, the adversary launched air strikes on the settlements of Ohirtseve, Budarky, and Vesele (Kharkiv oblast). 

The invaders fired mortars and artillery at the settlements of Karpovychi (Chernihiv oblast), Seredyna-Buda, Sytne, Porokhon’, Rozhkovychi, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Pryvillya, Budivelne, Bilokopytove, Novi Vyrky, Vorozhba, Bilopillya, Katerynivka, Obody, Pysarivka, Zapsillya, Stepne, Iskryskivshchyna, Hyrine, Popivka, Kindrativka, Stepne, Pysarivka, Basivka, Loknya, Myropillya, Stepok (Sumy oblast), Velyka Pysarivka, Huryiv Kozachok, Veterynarne, Vovchansk, Budarky, Zemlyanky, Bolohivka, Odnorobivka, Udy, Strilecha, Lukyantsi, Vovchanski Khutory (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupyansk axis: the enemy attempted offensive operations towards Novoselivke (Luhansk oblast), to no success. Russian forces launched an air strike at Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast). Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupyansk, Kyslivka, and Berestove (Kharkiv oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire of the adversary.

Lyman axis: the enemy conducted offensive operations towards Spirne, to no success. The invaders launched air strikes at the settlements of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast) and Ozerne (Donetsk oblast). Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, Rozdolivka, and Spirne (Donetsk oblast) were shelled with artillery.

Bakhmut axis: the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensives towards Orikhovo-Vasylivka. The invaders launched air strikes on the settlements of Ivanivske, Pivnichne, Bila Hora, and Toretsk. Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Bila Hora, Kostyantynivka, and Pivnichne (Donetsk oblast) suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

Avdiyivka axis: the adversary launched an air strike near the city of Avdiyivka. The invaders fired artillery at the vicinities of settlements of Keramik, Novokalynove, Stepove, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Karlivka, Berdychi, Lastochkyne, Avdiyivka, and Sjeverne (Donetsk oblast).

Maryinka axis: Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the vicinity of the city of Maryinka. The enemy also launched an air strike there. At the same time, the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Maksymilyanivka, and Illinka (Donetsk oblast) were shelled by enemy artillery.

Shakhtarske axis: the enemy attempted offensive operations towards Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Blahodatne, Vuhledar, and Zolota Nyva (Donetsk oblast). 

The enemy shelled the settlements of Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Shakhtarske, and Velyka Novosilka (Donetsk oblast).

Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: the adversary stays on the defensive. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Makarivka (Donetsk oblast), Levadne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv (Zaporizhzhia oblast), and Kozats’ke (Kherson oblast). The invaders fired artillery at the settlements of Vremivka, Makarivka (Donetsk oblast), Zelene Pole, Novodarivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Zatyshshya, Hulyaipole, Huliaipilske, Orikhiv, Lobkove, Kamy’ans’ke (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Mykhailivka, Novodmytrivka, Havrylivka, Kachkarivka, Beryslav, Tomaryne, Vesele, Kozats’ke, Burhunka, Virivka, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Kherson, Dniprovs’ke, Kizomys, Sofiivka, Myrolyubivka (Kherson oblast), and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).

During the day of June 18, Ukrainian Air Force launched 10 air strikes on the concentrations of troops of the adversary and hit 1 anti-aircraft missile system of the enemy. Also, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 1 Ka-52 helicopter of the enemy, 3 Iranian Shahed combat UAVs, and 7 reconnaissance UAVs. 

During the day of June 18, the Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit 2 command posts, 4 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2 concentrations of enemy troops and military equipment, and 2 ammunition depots of the adversary.
