Day 563 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.
The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of warfare, using the Kremlin’s signature terror tactics, launching missile and air strikes, and firing multiple launch rocket systems not only at the military, but also at numerous civilian targets in Ukraine. Unfortunately, these russian occupation forces’ attacks have killed and wounded civilians, destroyed residential buildings, and damaged civilian infrastructure.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct defensive operations in the east and the offensive operation in the south of Ukraine. As they destroy the enemy, they liberate the temporarily occupied territories step by step.
During the day of September 8, there were more than 30 combat engagements. During the day of September 8, the adversary launched 13 missile, 64 air strikes, more than 50 MLRS as attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure in various settlements.
During the day of September 8, the occupiers attacked Ukraine with 20 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, 16 of which were intercepted by Ukrainian air defense systems. In addition, cynical missile attacks struck civilians in the cities of Sumy and Kryvyi Rih.
The following settlements have suffered from the enemy air strikes: Bolohivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast), Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Yampolivka, Zarichne, Siversk, Vesele, Bila Hora, Pivnichne, Stepove, Krasnohorivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), Novodarivka, Chervone, Mala Tokmachka, Chervona Krynytsya, Robotyne, Yasna Polyana (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Kozatske, Odradokamyanka (Kherson oblast).
More than 50 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts came under enemy artillery fire.
Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary continues to maintain a group of troops safeguarding the state border. The enemy troops conduct active subversive activities in the border areas in order to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened axes.
Khortytsia operational-strategic group, Kupyansk, Lyman and Bakhmut axes: the adversary continues attempts to break through the defences of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the vicinities of Synkivka, Novoiehorivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka and southeast of Dibrova, as well as regain control of positions in the vicinities of Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka, and Kurdyumivka. To replenish irrecoverable losses, the adversary continues to deploy reserves to these axes. The assault groups are mainly manned with prisoners. By doing so, the kremlin continues to get rid of unwanted social strata.
Tavria operational-strategic group, Avdiyivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarske axes: the Ukrainian Defense Forces have the initiative, continuing to put pressure on the enemy, conduct assault operations, and win back Ukrainian land.
The Ukrainian defenders are successfully holding defenses near Avdiyivka and Maryinka, where the enemy made more than 10 unsuccessful attempts to force our units out of their positions during the day of September 8. In addition, all of the enemy attacks in the vicinities of Novokalynove, Krasnohorivka, and Prechistivka (Donetsk oblast) only resulted in significant losses in both manpower and equipment for the occupiers.
Melitopol axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, forcing the enemy to withdraw from their positions. In turn, the adversary is redeploying the most combat-ready airborne troops to this axis as it attempts to regain the lost ground. Thus, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled more than 10 such attempts near Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast).
Kherson axis: our defenders continue to hold the captured positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, conducting counter-battery fire, destroying ammunition depots and successfully striking behind the enemy lines.
During the day of September 8, Ukrainian Air Force launched 9 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons, and military equipment, 1 command post, and 1 position of an anti-aircraft missile system of the adversary.
Missile, artillery, and unmanned aerial systems troops hit 1 ammunition depot, 9 artillery systems, 6 command posts, and 1 electronic warfare station of the adversary.
