Situation update of General Staff of UAF regarding russian invasion as of 6 a.m., November 2, 2023

Day 617 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The russian federation continues to ignore the laws and customs of warfare, using the terror tactics, launching missile and air strikes, and firing multiple launch rocket systems not only at the military, but also at numerous civilian targets across Ukraine.

During the day of November 1, there were 57x combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 5x missile and 75x air strikes, 56x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

Air strikes hit Petropavlivka, Kupyansk, Kurylivka, Stepova, Novoselivka, Cherneshchyna (Kharkiv oblast), Serebryanske forestry (Luhansk oblast), Verkhnokamyanske, Vyimka, Spirne, Vesele, Ivanivske, Kalynove, Novooleksandrivka, Semenivka, Orlivka, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), Novoselivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Novokairy, Chervonyi Mayak, Novoberyslav, Beryslav, Kozatske, Lvove, and Ivanivka (Kherson oblast).

More than 100x settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolayiv oblasts came under artillery fire.

Pivnich operational-strategic group, Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct active subversive activities in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The adversary increases the density of minefields along the state border in Belgorod oblast (russia).

Khortytsia operational-strategic group, Kupyansk axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of settlements of Synkivka, Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast), and Stelmakhivka (Luhansk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10x attacks of the adversary.

Lyman axis: the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) operations.

Bakhmut axis: the occupiers made an unsuccessful attempt to regain the lost ground near Khromove, Klishchiivka and Andriivka. The Ukrainian defenders repelled 15x adversary attacks in that area. At the same time, the invaders conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the vicinity of Pivdenne (Donetsk oblast). In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut (Donetsk oblast), inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidate their new positions.

Tavria operational-strategic group, Avdiivka axis: with the air support, the enemy keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka, but the Ukrainian soldiers are standing their ground, inflicting major losses on the occupiers. The adversary’s offensive actions were unsuccessful in the vicinities of settlements of Sjeverne and Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast), where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7x enemy attacks.

Maryinka axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Maryinka (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than 20x attacks in that area.

Shakhtarske axis: the adversary conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast).

Zaporizhzhia axis: the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) operations.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

Odesa operational-strategic group, Kherson axis: the Ukrainian soldiers conduct counter-battery fire and strike behind the enemy lines.

During the day of November 1, Ukrainian Air Force launched 9x air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons, and military equipment, and 3x air strikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems of the adversary.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 5x radar stations 2x ammunition depots, 1x concentration of troops, weapons, and military equipment, 2x command posts, 3x anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as 11x artillery systems of the russian invaders.
