  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of March 26, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 18,132 (923 children out of this number, 435 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 293,088.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 174,325 people have been vaccinated, of whom 174,324 have received 1 dose, and 1 person have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).

    On March 25, 2021, 18,738 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 18,738 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 people.

    Immunization campaign has been conducted by 168 mobile teams and 483 vaccination points.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 4826 persons, 326 patients died, 7138 persons recovered. There have been conducted 119 087 testings (53495 using the PCR method, 22760 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 42 832).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1 614 707 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1 290 158 people recovered;
    • 31 461 people died;
    • 7 889 544 testing have been conducted.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

    The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
