  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of March 23, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 11476 (606 children out of this number, 357 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 266,415.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 121 929 people have been vaccinated, of whom 121 929 have received 1 dose, and 1 person has completed vaccination (received 2 doses).

    On March 22, 2021, 10 904 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 10 904 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 people.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2519 persons, 333 patients died, 8044 persons recovered. There have been conducted 88 673 testings (44647 using the PCR method, 21526 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 22 500).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1 565 732 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1 268 886 people recovered;
    • 30 431 people died;
    • 7 726 035 testings have been conducted.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
