Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 27, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 3,776 (115 children out of this number, 172 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 198,596.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,430 persons, 145 patients died, 14,250 persons recovered. There have been conducted 47,120 testing (27,041 using the PCR method and 20,079 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1,200,883 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 980,085 people recovered;
  • 22,202 people died;
  • 6,152,298 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
