Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 8, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 38,257 (3,308 children out of this number, 1,076 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 30,854,534 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15,499,220 people have been vaccinated. On February 8, 2022, 72,007 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 12,109 – CoronaVac vaccine, 53,168 – Comirnaty vaccine, 867 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 5,863.

Vaccination was carried out by 941 mobile immunization teams, 3,263 vaccination points and 425 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 4,385 persons, 240 patients died, 17,063 persons recovered. There have been conducted 177,012 testings (85,412 using the PCR method, 7,738 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 83,862).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 4,380,047 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

• 3,713,348 people recovered;

• 101,887 people died;

• 18,758,148 testings have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
