Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 6, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 8,655 (716 children out of this number, 200 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 25,747,899 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 13,826,163 people have been vaccinated. On December 6, 2021, 188,758 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 68,227 – CoronaVac vaccine, 89,584 – Comirnaty vaccine, 0 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 30,947.

Vaccination was carried out by 965 mobile immunization teams, 3,247 vaccination points and 466 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,349 persons, 467 patients died,
22,878 persons recovered. There have been conducted 70,934 testings (30,560 using the PCR method, 6,804 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 33,570).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,510,610 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,082,619 people recovered;
  • 88,986 people died;
  • 16,119,721 testings have been conducted.
