  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 25,2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,581 (104 children out of this number, 58 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 8,462,610 people have been vaccinated.

    The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 5,152,292. On August 25, 2021, 162,410 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 39,733 - CoronaVac vaccine, 46,774 – Comirnaty vaccine, 10,183 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 65,720.

    Vaccination was carried out by 960 mobile immunization teams, 2,822 vaccination points and 335 vaccination centers.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 464 persons, 45 patients died, 1,269 persons recovered. There have been conducted 52,427 testings (23,120 using the PCR method, 7,427 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 21,880).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,278,171 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 2,203,429 people recovered;
    • 53,566 people died;
    • 11,880,472 testings have been conducted.
