Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 24, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,344 (86 children out of this number, 21 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 205, 305.
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 978,354 people have been vaccinated. On May 23, 2021, 1,325 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 140 people got CoviShield vaccine, 405 – CoronaVac vaccine, 520 – Comirnaty vaccine, 260 - AstraZeneka, Janssen - 0.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,019 persons, 68 patients died, 6,999 persons recovered. There have been conducted 16,097 testings (8,684 using the PCR method, 1,462 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 5,951).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
2,183,855 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
1,957,560 people recovered;
49,436 people died;
10,022,457 testings have been conducted.
