Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 22, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 12,729 (1,058 children out of this number, 231 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 22,939,693 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 12,914,335 people have been vaccinated. On November 22, 2021, 270,258 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 104,134 – CoronaVac vaccine, 122,575 – Comirnaty vaccine, 30,161 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 13,388.

Vaccination was carried out by 1,020 mobile immunization teams, 3,249 vaccination points and 457 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,055 persons, 720 patients died, 23,107 persons recovered. There have been conducted 85,820 testings (38,099 using the PCR method, 9,034 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 38,687).

 During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,353,136 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,796,597 people recovered;
  • 82,318 people died;
  • 15,595,737 testings have been conducted.
