Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 18, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 20,050 (1,555 children out of this number, 331 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 21,811,652 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 12,657,192 people have been vaccinated. On November 18, 2021, 294,320 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 120,444 – CoronaVac vaccine, 128,737 – Comirnaty vaccine, 31,467 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 13,672.

Vaccination was carried out by 1,085 mobile immunization teams, 3,254 vaccination points and 455 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,637 persons, 725 patients died, 22,304 persons recovered. There have been conducted 111,735 testings (55,244 using the PCR method, 13,346 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 42,145).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,304,058 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,726,521 people recovered;
  • 80,231 people died;
  • 15,461,886 testings have been conducted.
