Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 15, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 9,590 (864 children out of this number, 115 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 27,004,683 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,269,057 people have been vaccinated. On December 15, 2021, 142,926 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 48,965 – CoronaVac vaccine, 67,054 – Comirnaty vaccine, 13,836 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 13,071.

Vaccination was carried out by 830 mobile immunization teams, 3,362 vaccination points and 464 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,089 persons, 355 patients died, 25,499 persons recovered. There have been conducted 74,231 testings (34,486 using the PCR method, 8,546 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 31,199).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,588,147 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,284,815 people recovered;
  • 92,313 people died;
  • 16,405,911 testings have been conducted.
