Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 4, 2022 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 4,571 (210 children out of this number, 112 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 28,596,332 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,748,324 people have been vaccinated. On January 4, 2022, 102,478 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 23,572 – CoronaVac vaccine, 58,512 – Comirnaty vaccine, 2,035 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 18,359.

Vaccination was carried out by 838 mobile immunization teams, 3,334 vaccination points and 432 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,366 persons, 273 patients died, 8,439 persons recovered. There have been conducted 65,768 testings (30,291 using the PCR method, 3,773 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 31,704).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 3,682,659 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

• 3,491,793 people recovered;

• 96,709 people died;

• 16,865,938 testings have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
