  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 6, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 9,721 (304 children out of this number, 468 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,517 persons, 201 patients died, 10,762 persons recovered. There have been conducted 80 082 testing (50 506 using the PCR method and 29,576 using the ELISA method).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 440 188 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 195 544 people recovered;
    • 8 125 people died;
    • 3 521 175 testing have been conducted.

    The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (1,002 cases), Kharkiv region (801 cases), Zhytomyr region (591 cases), Odesa region (554 cases), Ivano-Frankivsk region (511).

    As of November 6, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Kyiv – 42 375 cases;
    • Vinnytsia region – 11 923 cases;
    • Volyn region – 15 313 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 17 014 cases;
    • Donetsk region – 13 128 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 17 189 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 16 268 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 12 196 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 23 032 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region – 2 891 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 18 763 cases;
    • Lviv region – 32 425 cases;
    • Luhansk region – 4 214 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region – 9 605 cases;
    • Odesa region – 27 392 cases;
    • Poltava region – 11 337 cases;
    • Rivne region – 21 026 cases;
    • Sumy region – 13 635;
    • Ternopil region – 21 708;
    • Kharkiv region – 41 131;
    • Kherson region – 5 027;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 18 438;
    • Chernivtsi region – 24 079;
    • Cherkasy region – 10 292;
    • Chernihiv region – 9 787.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
