Аccording to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 5, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 75,490 COVID-19 cases, 41,527 people recovered, 1,788 patients died. During the 24 hours, 1,271 new cases have been confirmed.

A total of 1 098 665 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 914 people have recovered.

As of August 5, coronavirus disease was registered:

• Vinnytsia region – 2, 880 cases;
• Volyn region – 4,064 cases;
• Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,474 cases;
• Donetsk region - 926 cases;
• Zhytomyr region – 2,009 cases;
• Zakarpattia region – 5,462 cases;
• Zaporizhia region – 871 cases;
• Ivano-Frankivsk region – 5,168 cases;
• Kirovohrad region - 711 cases;
• Kyiv – 8,812 cases;
• Kyiv region – 3,942 cases;
• Lviv region – 10,223 cases;
• Luhansk region - 135 cases;
• Mykolaiv region - 658 cases;
• Odesa region – 3,638 cases;
• Poltava region - 472 cases;
• Rivne region – 6,442 cases;
• Sumy region – 570;
• Ternopil region – 3,149;
• Kharkiv region – 4,239;
• Kherson region – 236;
• Khmelnytsky region – 1,232;
• Chernivtsi region – 6,298;
• Cherkasy region – 959;
• Chernihiv region – 920.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
