  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of April 2, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 19,893 (834 children out of this number, 484 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 344, 581.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 267,833 people have been vaccinated, of whom 267,831 have received 1 dose, and 2 persons have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).

    On April 1, 2021, 19,097 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 19,097 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 person.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 5,040 persons, 433 patients died, 10,287 persons recovered. There have been conducted 128,727 testings (58,944 using the PCR method, 22,564 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 47,219).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1,711,630 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1,333,370 people recovered;
    • 33,679 people died;
    • 8,238,849 testing have been conducted.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
