  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of April 6, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 13,276 (508 children out of this number, 338 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 371, 768.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 304,680 people have been vaccinated, of whom 304,680 have received 1 dose, and 2 persons have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).

    On April 5, 2021, 12,856 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 12,856 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 person.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,545 persons, 430 patients died, 10240 persons recovered. There have been conducted 91,978 testings (41,512 using the PCR method, 21,279 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 29,187).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1,769,164 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1,362,379 people recovered;
    • 35,017 people died;
    • 8,397,586 testing have been conducted.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
